Laura Ellerbrock
Kettlebell Training Specialist
After obtaining a volleyball scholarship, Laura played setter for the Cameron University Aggies in Lawton, Oklahoma for four years, graduating in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education degree. During her four year career with Cameron, Laura was named Setter of the Week of the Lone Star Conference twice in 2009, named as a setter on the All-Tournament Team in 2007, MVP of the ATU Hampton Inn Spike fest and 2nd Team All Conference in 2009. She plans to continue her education and work towards Physical Therapy school and getting certified as a Corrective Exercise Specialist.
Prior to the college career, Laura played for the Arlington Lamar Vikings for four years. During her career at Lamar, she received several awards, including District 7-5A All District Setter.
Laura has played volleyball since the age of 10, including several years of club volleyball playing for TAV and North Dallas Juniors. She has also been training under Robert Brown for five years, and has worked trained for one year. Recently she has been certified in Kettlebell and TRX training.
Kristin Marcum
Suspension Training Specialist
An Arlington, Texas native, Kristin began her volleyball career at the age of 10 at Texas Advantage Volleyball until she was 17 and spent her final season with North Dallas Volleyball club. She graduated from Lamar High school in 2006. where she earned numerous all district teams awards, Duncanville Tournament of Champions All-Tournament team in '04 and invited onto the Texas All-Star team.
Kristin is a 2010 Marshall University, in Huntington, WV, graduate with a Business Marketing major and minors in management and entrepreneurship. She received a full-ride scholarship to play for the Marshall Volleyball team where she started as an outside hitter all four years. Marshall went on to win a 2007 Conference USA regular season title. Her senior year she led her team as captain to a 22-9 overall finish. During her career at Marshall, Marcum received the Work Horse award in '07 and '09, the Leadership award '09 and co-receiver of the Overall Achievement Award '09. She also received many academic awards including all 4 years on the dean's list, inducted into the Beta Gamma Sigma (business school honor society), Conference USA Commissioner's academic medal and received a Conference USA postgraduate scholarship.
Kristin has been training and working with Robert Brown Sports Performance since 2006. She has trained athletes and sport teams all over the DFW area. She is currently studying for her MBA at the University of Texas at Arlington, where she plans to complete her maters in May 2012. Kristin has a strong passion for sports and helping athletes develop above and beyond their goals.
